Pertunmaa along Your Way
The location of Pertunmaa is ideal. It belongs to the state province of Eastern Finland and to the region of Southern Savo, in others words: it is located on the boundary of Eastern Häme and Southern Savo. Besides, Pertunmaa is along the highway no. 5, approximately 40 km north of the city of Heinola. A good landmark is the new gasoline service station ABC-Kuortti which was opened in 2000.
Pertunmaa has two main villages. Kuortti which is located along the highway no. 5 is the better known of these two and it is the business card of Pertunmaa. The village centre of Pertunmaa is approximately 10 km away from the highway no. 5. The village centre is the administrative centre of Pertunmaa. It is also a peaceful place to live with services and lake scenery.

The number one asset of Pertunmaa is its location along the highway. It has a good and fast connection to Helsinki thanks to the Lahti-Heinola motorway and the upgraded highway no. 5. It takes less than two hours to Helsinki by road. The fast connection to Helsinki has made Pertunmaa a popular summer place among residents of the capital. Pertunmaa also has a fast connection with the commercial cities in Central Finland.

Public Transport
Bus is the most convinient public transport vehicle for travel to Pertunmaa. The express buses which drive along the highway no. 5 provide a fast connection between Pertunmaa and other places. The local bus trafic also is a good choice if you only have time enough for travel.
Public transport by bus also offers a good choice for daily commuting to Lahti, Heinola or Mikkeli.
The express buses stop near the ABC gasoline service station in Kuortti. The local buses stop in Kuortti and at the bus station in the village centre of Pertunmaa.
